In 1940 Britain stood alone against Nazi Germany while America was still neutral.

At Dunkirk, 338,000 Allied soldiers were rescued under constant bombing. Britain lost huge amounts of equipment just to keep fighting.

And Britain didn’t fight alone.

The British Indian Army had 2.5 million volunteers the largest volunteer force in history.

Soldiers from India, Africa, Canada, Australia and New Zealand fought and died defeating fascism.

Meanwhile in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire (1943) American military police tried to enforce segregation on Black US soldiers.

Local Brits refused.

One soldier was killed in the confrontation.

So spare us the lectures.
