A 32-year-old woman in Rome was reportedly seized off the street by a group of illegal immigrants, forced into a van, and driven to an abandoned building occupied by illegal immigrants from Africa and North Africa.

She was allegedly raped repeatedly over three days before managing to escape, running half-naked into the street and flagging down a passerby, who called police.

Officers who raided the complex said they found 22 illegal immigrants inside. Five were arrested and charged with aggravated gang rape, and 11 were sent to detention centers for deportation.
