@MarkDondero Splendid Splinter should be top 5 on every Boston sports fan's list. And only nicknames that were given to players by other players or fans should be considered. Love Pedroia but he nicknamed himself Laser Show so maybe that one needs to be discussed.
@Top100Rick If he joined the Champions Tour and/or CBS as their top analyst he would have secured his legacy and possibly over the next 25 years made even more money. But he needed a check and the rest is a sad history.
@GlennDOrdway Maybe, just maybe, Sam is the skunk at the picnic. John Henry can fix this if he chooses, unless, by his business metrics, the organization is meeting its goals.
@Jared_Carrabis Sam is the skunk at the picnic. They need a baseball man. Until that position is upgraded, they have no plan. This is on Henry. DD knew!
@Steve_Perrault Huge Cora fan here and what I was most disappointed in was here is a guy who lived, breathed and preached about playing the right way yet his teams were some of the worst at fundamentals that we've ever seen.
@BOSSportsGordo And if you had asked John Henry a year ago what two organizations he emulated, he would have said TB and Milwaukee. This is not an accident, it's their model by choice.
@jaketodonnell@redseatradio At some point Theo needs to walk into John Henry's office and tell him that it's his friend Sam Kennedy who is the skunk at the picnic. Until then, it's just more of the same.
@DanKelleySports Sam Kennedy was, is and will continue to be the skunk at the picnic. Until this organization commits to a true baseball executive and allows him/her to run the franchise we will continue to get the same results. This organizational mediocrity can be fixed.
@Savageboston Threes are great when you can couple them with a top ranking in points in the paint. That's how the Knicks are doing this and why Brad has work to do.
@WinningIsBetter@stefen_rosner@TheHockeyNews There is no right or wrong answer. The thought process is all they are looking for. That's why they ask an impossible question to answer.
@jaketodonnell If the Sox brass truly believes that this year is salvageable, Duran at the top of the order, running aggressively and hitting for some power is the reason why. He is this team's only "upside". If not, move him now but only for top prospects, not overpaid mid veterans.
