We need more experienced nurses leading acute care. Progression ✅ focus on acute ✅ reduction in loss of too many experienced nurses to specialities ✅

The term “de skilled” it’s playing on my mind. Personally not a fan of the term. “Diversity” surely replaces the term. How can you be “de skilled”? New technology means re skill perhaps. It’s a tricky one but because you don’t ride a bike for 10 years doesn’t mean you forget how?

I have been doing an assignment on neuroscience. The brain stores what it needs and learning is often “banked” and surfaces later if needed. So….. does an individual bank experiences and skills depending on what they think is important?Does it depend on what’s valued?

So going deeper…. I know how to ride a bike. But I brought a new one and the gear changes and riding position were different. Took a bit of getting used to but the principles were the same.

@KarateJoe12 @lizvaughan57 No probs…. Could have gone on but ran out of words! The other thing I would say is don’t expect to always get it right!! No one does. But be self aware and you will keep your value! Always around if you want to chat. We all lead differently so its style
