@aziiaziizam UAE functions only around Pogacar. The quality the team has overall is great, but still they have never won a GT without Pogi since becoming UAE. It's pretty clear why.
@faustocoppi60 He's a good climber too, only less than a minute behind Pellizzari on a 3rd week mountain stage in Vuelta last year, so he might hang in there until the ITT if he really tries.
@allergy_al Who will win those remaining 13? Pogi is one thing but Del Toro shares his strengths and two can't win one stage. Vermeersch or Wellens? Maybe 1 stage win for them.
@Rastoaaa@lucxsronald Well wouldn't say that but what has happened so far is pretty much what everyone expected. Solid TVL on stage 1 (TTT) and explosive Pogi on stages 2 and 3.
@cycloben2 Good thoughts... I think UAE have ridden a bit too aggressively considering this is day 3 and Pogi and Jonas are still even on GC. These two stages were destined to be a Pogi show regardless of their tactics but they decided to use a lot of gas and gain basically zero time.
@cycloben2 Some of these teams scream "he has TdF participation in his contract" type of stuff. Disagree about Ineos though, the team is clearly built to win both TTs and whatever comes beyond that is a plus.
@faustocoppi60 Very interesting to see what is the role of Del Toro. Will he always stay with Pogi or is he allowed to win stages too? (Would require considerable time loss on some stages, perhaps the ITT).
