HON. PETER VWANG DUNG CONDEMNS ATTACKS IN BUKURU MARKET, CALLS FOR CALM

Jos South Local government Council chairman, Hon. Peter Vwang Dung has condemned the recent attacks on Task force and Traders in Bukuru market.

Hon. Vwang Dung called on the security agencies to arrest all the perpetrators of such act who attacked the task force officers and innocent traders.

He added that Governnor Mutfwang is aimed at transforming the state and not to witch hunt any citizen of the state.

The Chairman said the situation has been brought to control by the securities and urged all citizens to be calm as security men will continue to work hard to bring the situation to an end.

The chairman expressed his sadness over the incident which occurred on Monday, describing it as unfortunate and disheartening.

He said the Task force were on their duty to enforce government order on illegal buildings at Jos Master Plan areas but were attacked by some youths.
