Some high school kids were talking and said “No way Gen X wrote 10-page papers without AI.”
Oh, honey.
We wrote them without reading the book…the night before they were due…by hand and in cursive.
We are not the same.
Since you weren’t even born yet, I’m going to answer in good faith:
9/11 was America’s collective loss of innocence. In the decades prior, we’d won the Cold War by outspending the Soviets. We were the sole remaining superpower, and we were in a period of peace and economic prosperity.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, we suffered a suicide attack with a higher death toll than Pearl Harbor. It struck a city on the US mainland, the first attack of that scale to hit CONUS since the Civil War.
In a violent flash, and on live television, our collective illusions of safety, security, and peace disappeared. For most Americans, it was the first time we ever had to contend with that scale of horror, and what it implied about the fragility of our way of life.
It was simultaneously sobering and terrifying. The American response was to launch two wars, and to restructure domestic life around the Government’s presumed duty to spy on everyone, so nothing like it could ever happen again.
I am not being hyperbolic when I say the America we grew up in—imagined or not—vanished on 9/11.
What you’re calling a “worshipful attitude” is a mix of reverence for the dead, and mourning for the loss of what existed before.
Since most people are unaware, here’s a reminder that both Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn were violent American communist terrorists who function as forefathers to contemporary Antifa and the violent left. Their group was involved in killing people, robberies, bombings and shootings. Their actions made them heroes to the left.
Ayers escaped conviction by being a fugitive for years.
It’s amazing to listen to him distort the facts so here they are:
1. Illinois ranks high for overall tax pressures on residents
2. Illinois has one of the highest combination of state and local
taxes in the nation, taking 16% of a median household’s
income
3. Illinois has the second highest gas tax in the nation
4. Personal income growth has grown slower than the national
average since pritzker took office
5. Private sector job growth has lagged far behind the national
average and neighboring states since Pritzker took office
6. 63 new tax and fees increases since Pritzker took office
7. Illinois is the third highest state for outward migration
8. Illinois is the third highest state for businesses losses
9. Illinoisans received the highest toll increases in history
10. Illinoisans pay the highest property taxes in the country
And the mindless lemmings stand and applaud his lies
See the problem Illinois?
Catholics have been pursuing religious and political unity for centuries, long before the United Nations ever existed. History is filled with rulers, empires, kings, queens, political alliances, and even strategic marriages designed to unite kingdoms under one power. Alexander the Great tried it through conquest and assimilation. Royal families tried it through marriage. Empires tried it through political and religious control. Yet every one of them eventually failed.
Daniel and Revelation tell us why. Satan’s final attempt to unite the world will not succeed, regardless of the method, whether through political alliances, religious authority, legislation, or enforced worship. Daniel 2 shows us the image of Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdoms, but it ends with “a stone cut out without hands” striking the image and destroying it. That Stone is Christ and His everlasting kingdom.
The unity will not stick together because clay and iron do not adhere. Human beings cannot establish the kingdom God establishes. The Rock is not Catholicism. The Rock is not Peter, either. The Rock is Christ, the One upon whom the true church is built. Revelation shows the climax of all the Antichrist Power and the Second Beast efforts, to force the world to unite in opposition to God, yet ultimately is crushed by Christ.
The New Jerusalem does not materialize through political engineering, religious coercion, or human alliances. It comes down from God out of heaven (Revelation 21:2). Satan can use the church and state to attempt to counterfeit Christ’s kingdom, all he wants but he cannot create the kingdom of God.
Did any wildly applauding Pritzker disciple ask him why he increased their taxes 63 times, doubled their gas tax, and make them pay the highest property taxes in the nation?
How about why he endorses the SAFE-T Act which endangers their safety or why he gave $2.5 BILLION of their tax dollars to illegals?
Maybe a question about how is he going to address the fact that only one-third of the students across the state can read and do math at grade level?
Why bother with those questions when you can applaud him for discussing Blueberries, Lettuce, Measles, and ICE agents
There is something deeply wrong when a person chooses to go through another human being to reach God when Jesus already made the way straight to the Father.
Why even try to take the long road through human tradition when Christ opened the way directly to God?
You don't need a man standing between you and God. You need Christ and so does the man standing in the way.
A home with a brand new baby in it is sacred. To be invited over is a privilege beyond comprehension.
Leave your shoes at the door, for this is holy ground.
A Mom and Dad practicing surrender. A tiny elf so fresh from God - still radiant like an imagined Moses on his way down Mt Sinai.
Carry peace in with you and plant it in every crack and corner you can find.
Pray over everyone and everything if you’re lucky enough to see the shooting star that is a life story at its start ❤️🔥
Every time your property tax bill in Illinois goes up, remember who could control that—Democrats.
The only way this is going to change is by electing Republicans like @DarrenBaileyIL
who look at our neighbor state and say, “How is Indiana’s property tax capped at 1%, and they’re thriving—something is very wrong.”
Vote Republican on November 3rd, 2026—Flip Illinois RED. 🇺🇸
MEMO TO: J B Pritzker
SUBJECT: Addressing the problems of Illinois
When is the last time we heard you speak to the serious problems facing Illinois that YOU and the Democrats in Springfield have created, and how you will address them?
The highest property taxes in the nation, pension debt, failing schools, highest combined state and local taxes, lowest bond rating, 46th in wage growth, 46th in private sector job growth, fiscal instability, outward migration of residents and businesses, just to name a few of the problems now facing the state you “govern”
You choose not to speak to any of these problems as if they don’t exist
Instead you defer your rhetoric to non-issues and personal attacks as a narcissist looking to escape blame typically does
You are literally an embarrassment to the state of Illinois

LETTER TO @SenateGOP 🚨
I'm writing this on behalf of millions and millions of Americans
ANY SENATOR WHO DOES PRO-FORMA SESSIONS FOR JOHN THUNE, SO HE CAN BLOCK TRUMPS RECESS APPT'S
Gets primaried
Thank you for your attention to this matter
Peacefully like Scott Presler says
The campaign against men has been shameful.
Men should see this as nothing more than a spiritual attack. It was perpetrated by insecure and weak people wanting to diminish your natural assets, such that they would not appear so insecure and weak by comparison.
Reject it. It’s complete bullshit.
Be great.
@LeaderJohnThune@SenateGOP We are finding actively registered non-citizens on the voter rolls in Pennsylvania
& you are doing absolutely nothing to secure our elections.
I’m so disappointed with our Senate GOP.
All we wanted were some election laws to protect our elections.
With a majority, they still refused to do it and went on vacation.
