A couple of people have written their master’s and phd thesis on her work as queer artist, because in academic spaces where intellectuals occupy and people are dedicated to critical thought, she’s well regarded,
She has 6 albums, a published book and is preparing to publish another one, She speaks 4 languages ,plays 5 instruments,writes, sings, sculpts, paints, is an all round creative.

I am trying to frame this properly but it almost like you all were waiting for popular feminists accounts to ‘fail’,
None of these women uloma, kiki mordi, Ozzy and moe were accused of any abuse. At worst, gossip which we all do.
But it was so embarrassing how you all piled on them today and tried to reduced the work they have done for years, the entire time ignoring the abuser.

There’s no evidence these women knew of the abuse, none of them lived with him, but we(feminists) were so quick to punish women for the crime of an abuser. Suddenly men don’t lie or act progressive when they know you won’t stand for it.
The worst? The way feminist were insulting each other, the tone of interactions, there was no grace just hostility, subs and assumptions.
Everything was so distasteful.

Let me just add this, a lot of bold, strong feminists have lent their voices to this issue.

The fact that a few women chose to stay neutral or quiet doesn’t erase the movement.

We’re not feminist because we’re puppets to people with numbers, but because we believe in accountability and equality, no matter who’s involved!
