Confirmed: The Bahrain Grand Prix will be the Formula 1 season opener in 2027!

Australia was already set to lose its opening spot, as reported by others. Bahrain WILL be the start of the #F1 2027 season, an anonymous source just confirmed to me. The change was already planned for '27.

The #BahrainGP will most likely be on March 14, after Ramadan. Saudi Arabia is expected to be the next race on March 21: a double header start of the season. Australian GP is set to be the third event on April 4.

As the calendar is still being finalized, dates are subject to change. #Formula1

Bevestigd! Bahrein trapt het Formule 1-seizoen van 2027 af. 14 maart (hoogstwaarschijnlijk) start van het seizoen.

Australië verliest de eerste plaats op de kalender van '27, zoals eerder al naar buiten kwam. Bahrein zal met zekerheid de start zijn van het volgende F1-seizoen, zo bevestigde een anonieme bron mij zojuist.

De GP van #Bahrein zal waarschijnlijk op 14 maart plaatsvinden, na de Ramadan. Saoedi-Arabië volgt naar verwachting op 21 maart: een double header als start van het F1-sezioen. Australië wordt mogelijk nummer drie op 4 april.

Piastri en Norris over een mogelijke exit van Verstappen uit de Formule 1:

Piastri: 'Ik denk dat het voor iedereen een vrij grote schande is', ook voor het imago van de #F1.
Norris: 'Max heeft het recht om te doen wat hij wil', al verwacht hij geen exit.

@BartekChmieI Nice! He probably did, as two full days TPC is most likely for their own juniors/reserve drivers. Maybe also other names, but that would be too much speculation.

Formule 1 in Nederland deze week! (Circuit Zandvoort)

Alpine #F1 bevestigt twee volle testdagen in Zandvoort vanaf morgen, di 21 april. Actie vanaf 09:00u. Line-up coureurs (nog) geheim.

'Afgesloten' tests, maar genoeg te zien in de duinen.

@Lebawsixteen Yes, they 'close' the circuit, but all other facilities and around the fences are open to the public. Just the pits and the track etc. is closed!
