@A22523 Congrats, that’s awesome! It can be really tricky getting back into the writing habit after any amount of time away, but sounds like you’re totally killing it. Keep up the good work! ✍️
Whoa, it’s December already??! Writers, did you have goals this year? How well are you doing on them as 2024 comes to a close?
Personally I had many goals I didn’t quite achieve, although I managed some big ones. With the chaos this year threw at me, I’m happy with that.
Just finished reading Cascade Failure by L M Sagas @lmsagaswrites today. If you’re in the market for a fun and fast paced space opera with great prose and engaging characters, you should 100% check it out. ✨💫🚀
@liu_angela Never use the past perfect tense (he had seen, etc). It’s not necessary most of the time but when it is and you don’t use it, the words come across weird.
@liu_angela I let it sit for a couple weeks/ months, print off a copy and mark up, then let that sit a bit before I make the changes to the document. Sometimes the story is then up to satisfaction, sometimes there’s still something missing.
Do you usually do a certain number of edits?
Thanks for the mention, Brandon!
