@blondie_twr If DDU does not resolve it, you're looking at a game integrity issue (e.g. from use of Textools) or some third party app issue, such as an old version of XIVAlexander, a misbehaving Dalamud plugin, or some random overlay such as the Discord, Spotify, etc. not playing nice.

1. Download (but don't install) the latest NVIDIA driver for your GPU.
2. Run DDU (ideally in Safe Mode, but you do you):

If the fellow was advertising his mod using footage of the game, it could be construed as profiting from their IP in that very specific context.

@hobabieluv GShade's designed to be easier to install and go as it were, among other improvements.

Performance overhead in either is going to vary wildly depending on what shaders and settings any given preset is using.

Some presets are designed just for photography and will tank your FPS.

@sicksimmertee @graysonswhxre Yeah, it's only on old versions of the Sims 4 which people run for certain reasons.

Supporting the latest game version is priority, but you can make a quick adjustment to resolve this.

I disagree with the last bit though, the Greatest Generation were popularized as such by our "betters" because they relented control and gave way.

But while good parenting offsets the potential for online & offline grooming, it does not eliminate the possibility.

Many of these unhinged people are a byproduct of grooming, and had the potential to be much more than they are.

@XivAyr I should add for clarity, Dalamud does not expose all game data via its API.

Some plugins such as PlayerScope will employ Dalamud while also doing their own memory hacking on the side for data it does not serve, particularly in this specific case Content & Account ID's.

@XivAyr There is no official modding API in XIV.

Dalamud hacks (reads from and/or writes to) specific parts of the game's memory and exposes the data as an API to plugins, significantly simplifying development.

The only thing which would put a damper on it all is an anti-cheat system.
