@Dan_Hoard Things are great! Following this trip up with a Dublin, Ireland golf adventure in June with SWCS pals Steve Bowman, Brian DeVine and Tony Behrman. Hope all is well and that our paths cross in the near future!
@LindseyGrahamSC@POTUS Hey Lindsey - you certainly know that we had an agreement in place 10 years ago that had stopped the nuclear weapons ambitions in Iran? Included international inspections and verifications that were working. Know a guy that worked on the agreement.
Old Barnwell becomes a more and more popular request with every passing month, and with good reason.
Aiken, SC has recently become the center of American golf course development, and OB is one of its Crown Jewels. The original course here by Brian Schneider & Blake Conant is an absolutely terrific ode to English heathland golf and an anchor for the courses to come. The use of the natural land movement here alone is enough to make any true golf architecture nerd daydream of hitting punch runners into greens.
Based on their first “solo” effort here, it’s beyond exciting to imagine what Schneider and Conant will do in their design careers.
Sunset at the Home of Golf.
This is one of my favorite photos of 2026.
I love the way the two-tone mowing line seems to differentiate the rumpled 18th fairway from the flat 1st.
I love how the Swilcan Burn catches the last of the sunlight.
I love how it shows the interconnectedness of the town and its prized golf course.
I love the cameos of by the Swilcan Bridge, the Road Hole green, the Himalayas Putting Course, and the St. Andrews Hotel.
But most of all, I love the way it makes me feel like I’m back at the Old Course at St. Andrews, my favorite place in the world.
