West Cumbrian Marras (friends)who enjoy fell walking in the Lake District National Park. Climbing to the top of Cumbria’s highest peaks and setting challenges.
Yewbarrow yesterday to get back into the swing of things. Great weather and a reasonable walk, although lots of climbing steep rocks! @ Wast Water https://t.co/I7HuQaa9Uh
I have just finished reading this awe inspiring book about Steve Birkenshaw’s successful record attempt on 214 Wainwrights.
I couldn’t begin to imagine ever being able to do something as challenging as this.

Read the latest blog from the Marras of the Lakes. One for the classics: Walla Crag and Bleaberry Fell in storm force winds, at least they were on the top.

@Lorene182@YouTube Tony got ahead of me and I decided to slide down to catch up, I hurt myself the first time but he was insistent on videoing me going the rest of the way. 🤦♂️🤣🤣 I’m glad it cracks you up 😁👍 You have some great photos on your feed.

A short clip from yesterday shows how to gain some time 😂😂😂
I did have to be careful as there was a drop off at the end, and a rock that was sticking out of the ground. 🙈🙈🙈

Short walk around Ennerdale today after being rained off yesterday. Although I’m fancying a gill scramble up Ben Gill for one of our next adventures.
