@PhilWongNYC People can study whatever they want, community engagement is great for actual projects that are going to proceed, but we’re not at that stage yet.
@vivian39_ Can’t tell if this is a dig or an observation, I hope it’s the ladder.
The people who go to these are just trying to enjoy en extremely niche interest with the few others who care.
Plus miles’ groups are usually much more diverse than “ten clones of this guy”.
@KateWalker15 You live in Austin so I understand where you’re coming from but I recommend you take a trip to DC or NYC or Boston or Chicago or SF to see how rail transit and good bus routes move an insane number of people. The New York subway gets around 7 min boardings per weekday.
@SenatorPittman Hopefully yall can come to an agreement to fund transit in the cities, which contribute the most to state taxes and the economy.

@RepGrove One of its core functions is 2 bring people 2 and from events and games but that's not gonna happen so much after these cuts go through with rail service ending at 9pm, before many events are finished. Also the express trains for events will not run which will make things worse!
@RepGregSteube As a DC area frequent user of @wmata I can tell you that things have gotten way better since @wmataGM has taken over in 2022. This rebrand is stupid and wouldn’t actually help the region.
@wmataGM@wmata With the Tap, Ride, GO system coming out on Wednesday will there be fare capping? For example if I take 3 trips at $6.75 will I be charged $13.50 (like a day pass) or will I be charged a total of $20.25? Thanks!
