Recently diagnosed with ALS and it turned my whole world upside down!

By battle with ALS is currently at a stalemate. Taking some drugs to slow the progression but certainly not getting any better. Too young for SocSec and not qualified for SSI, my expenses are outpacing my resources. Please consider:

@nogulagsagain No! I am not a fan of Islam but I am a HUGE fan of our constitution. This would be a dangerous precedent! Who's next? Amish, Mormons, Pentecostal, where will it end? Once it starts it will be hard to stop! Besides, most of that Sharia Law is unlawful here anyway.

@MAGAVoice NO! I am no fan of Sharia Law but I am a HUGE fan of the constitution. Do we really want to start outlawing religions. Where will it stop? Are the Amish next? The Mormons? Who should we go after next?

@LauraLoomer How do we do this without infringing on the constitution? Freedom of religion? Free speech? If we set the precedent of outlawing a religion it will become a slippery slope. Should we then outlaw the Amish? Mormons? Jehovah witnesses? DANGEROUS PRECEDENT!

@KaiTrumpJr There is no need to outlaw Sharia Law as most of the things it allows are crimes in any state in the U.S. But when you set a precedence of targeting religious factions within the U.S. where will it stop? Or will it open a door to normalized religious bigotry?

@RepChipRoy And when you pass this law there will STILL be no freedom or religion or free speech because this law will set the precedent for further bigotry. Will Mormons be next? How about Jehovah Witnesses?

@RepFine @SenTuberville Local, state, and federal laws will ALWAYS trump Sharia Law and customs. but this law will not survive a challenge in SCOTUS. Freedom of religion is what this country was founded on. I am not a fan of Islam or Muslims, but I am a HUGE fan of the Constitution.

@LauraLoomer Executing a campaign of hatred and bigotry against Islam is a surefire way to alienate Muslims to the point that they will NEVER consider adopting Christianity - and a great way to start a war! You don't have to adopt any particular faith to respect its right to exist.
