More on the ground in Arizona -- mysterious white vans plucking Native Americans off reservations, taking them into rehabs, billing Medicaid.
I spoke with a whistleblower and a sober home worker -- claims they kept everyone drunk and high.

@AprilWheeler5@TheBridgeSanct1 I always felt like that that was the highlight of my farrier coming out to do my horses...made paying him ever so much easier.👍💃🤠

We’re sincerely trying to replace the $3500 that was used to get the two remaining horses out. Nothing is free. If funds aren’t replenished, we can only do less for the horses in need. Everybody matters. Every dollar is so important. Please, share what you can today.
“The connections we make in the course of life -- maybe that’s what heaven is." ~Fred Rogers
We have had a few arrive here in absolutely terrible shape but overall I think Bodie was the worst.
He spent 19 days in the hospital before making it here, still emaciated with abscesses in his lungs and his mouth, a terrible cough and gastric ulcers that the vet said were the worst he’d ever seen.
He was also bald from rain rot, suffered from anhidrosis and could barely walk. Somehow he came out of it and for a long time lived a good, comfortable life here.
He was crabby and oftentimes difficult, but always super grateful and sweet if he got to know you.
I will forever miss his silly little whinny at feed time and watching him and stormy roam together.
Rest now, Bodie. You are finally pain free and running again. Say hi to George for me and tell him I love and miss him, too.
Thank you for coming into my life and making it better.
Love,
Mama
(I need to fundraise for hay, but not today. I just can't find it in me today... )
Yesterday was tough, not gonna lie. Losing George took me to my knees (proverbially, I still had to take care of my herd) but Bodie hit different.
George was 25, he had a long life and I think a lot of it was good, especially the last five living here. George knew things and was well-trained so someone loved him at one point. I got some comfort in that.
Bodie was different, he was only 10 when he got here (maybe younger) and was never cared for the way he should have been. I tried, for three years I tried. He could not overcome the neglect he suffered in his young life.
I shouldn’t take it personally when I can’t “save” them, but I do. I know this is irrational and this is rescue but I can’t help it.
Look at muh bebe!
I am doing my best to not bubble wrap him and it bugs me tremendously that he does have a few tiny scuffs already (he is a boy after all), but he’s still perfect…
He is a gift from God…
Are you hot?? Be like Glynis!
She’s been here five years now, she was only two days old when she got here. She’s salty and particular but sweet and so loved.
And smart!
I don’t know how to make it better.
He has a herd and others around him, none will replace Bodie.
I worry because he’s almost 32.
Losing a buddy is hard on all of them, but especially an older guy like Stormy.
If you would, say a little extra prayer
for my old man… 💔
My happy, chatty baby. His mama is getting better and eating a ton, too.
If someone would turn off the heat we’d all be grateful…
Ahh Texas in July…
(If ya wanna help me with hay this month I’d be grateful. I can still get delivery today before the fireworks start…)
It’s sweet to see them all happy together. A bunch of broken souls finding comfort in each other and helping to raise a baby…
This is why I do what I do and beg and beg and beg for help. I can’t imagine this world without these wonderful souls in it.
And ya’ll make it possible. Thank you.
