NASA is launching the Lunar Surface Innovation initiative to develop technologies for off-Earth construction.

The goal is to teach robots to build roads, landing sites, and even shelters directly from what's underfoot: regolith.

No bricks from Earth - everything is local, as autonomous as possible.
They're already testing 3D printing, robotic systems, and new materials that can work in dust, radiation, and no smoke breaks.

This isn't just a lunar startup. This is the foundation of future bases - where every dome, every panel will be the result of autonomous construction.
