@ianhanomansing An anxiety dream that became reality? I was anchoring and five minutes to air I was violently ill after accidentally consuming shrimp (allergy). Crew had to put a bucket under desk so I could vomit during a story. My parents that night said, something looked wrong with your eyes
Sad to hear the loss of the Honourable David Onley. A respected journalist. And a man who continued to advocate for First Nations people in the province as Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Love and prayers to his family and friends.
@waub 2/2 Copper Coloured Skin, High Cheekbones. Now, as an Irish Ojibwe kid with green eyes, this questioned by identity from that day forward. I am so thankful of the education my children are getting in school now. We have a lot more work to do, but I'm hopeful.
@waub Surprisingnly not a lot considering there were a lot of us First Nations students at the school. I remember one class, I think Gr.7, and seeing Characteristics of an Indian up on the projector. A list followed that included Long Raven Black Hair, Brown Almond Shaped Eyes 1/2
Happy 1st day of September Folks โค One of the Anishinaabe names for this month is Waabaabagaa Giizis, The Leaves Turning Colour Moon. A lovely & descriptive way of capturing what happens to the leaves as the month goes on. Enjoy the month ahead!
@LisaLaFlamme_ You were and will always be an inspiration to women in broadcasting. A true class act and this goodbye exemplifies that. Big mistake CTV.
