@ModernzRDM I checked an old controller I had and I don’t see the sata power plugged into your controller in the video. Just checking you didn’t skip the power connector. Hope you get all this figured out bud, pc problems are super frustrating sometimes.

@ModernzRDM If that’s the capacitor that blew in the controller board then it’s either an excess of voltage being passed or indeed just simply a faulty cap. Seeing it happen twice would lean me towards checking your power supply voltages. Does that controller use sata power?
