@JustTheTweets17 Said it was filled with Potomac basin water, and we know what went into the Potomac earlier this year: Sewage. Can't use chlorine cuz it washes back out. They're thinking to transition to sanitation water. That pool will never stay clear w/o chlorine & algicide.

@JustTheTweets17 They refilled w/water from the Potomac, plus residual algae in pipes. They want to change to city water but if not, then sanitation at the point of entry. Whatever the case, the thing forever needs chlorine and anti-phosphate to keep the algae away and major filtration.

@AndyKing191 @voxs_ramblings It's a thought, but in the end, chlorine is chlorine and the maintenance would be more cost effective if it was straight chlorine. If it were me, I'd opt for about 7 or 8 large fountains down the center and forget reflecting. Put flowers all around w/benches. So much better.

@AndyKing191 @voxs_ramblings It will never be clean and clear until a type of chlorine is used w/major filtration. The plan is to get it on a different source of water after the fill. Maybe sanitation at the site of entry. If they use city source they'll still need to use chlorine and chemicals for algae.

@AmoneyResists They brought in water from the Potomac. I'm hearing that's the problem and will transition to sanitation filter for keeping it filled. All it needs is to be chlorine shocked, anti-phosphates and major filtration to clear up.

@Player__1776 @ImBreckWorsham @ShemekaMichelle I looked it up to verify and yes it has an algae bloom. Some say it is residual from pipes. All it needs is total filtration, chlorine shock and anti-phos to keep it in check. Water cannot sit still and not get nasty. I'd actually prefer multiple large fountains vs reflecting.
