On 15th February Sensei Craig Raye and Marshall Street Dojo SKC joined the Japan Karate Association World Federation (JKA WF) run by Sensei Masao Kawasoe 8th Dan.

More great training this week! We did Heian Sandan and Unsu plus basic blocks and kicks 💪

Our numbers are growing (within our legal training number limits of course)! We practiced our leg speed and hip movement as well as Heian Sandan, Bassai Sho and Sochin 💪

Another great session practicing Heian Godan and Enpi as well as basic kick / punch combinations and hip rotation using the mirrors 🥋

Another fantastic session tonight! We practiced some basics in the mirror, as well as our Heian katas, Bassai Dai and Meikyo. We also did some kicking exercises for hip strength 💪

Our first session back was a success! We revised our Heian katas plus Meikyo and practiced some basics. We might not be able to make contact but we can still train and work hard! 🥋👊

We’re extremely shocked and saddened to hear that Sensei Bob Poynton has passed away.

Many of our karateka adored him, his commitment to karate and his wicked sense of humour.

Much love to his friends and family. He will be sorely missed.
