The National Football Foundation released this year’s College Football Hall of Fame ballot today. Marshall legend Chris Parker is again on the ballot - hopefully this is his year.
There has been a change in the coaching eligibility rules, which brings up my beef - (thread)
Can only imagine how difficult it’ll be to find the right candidate for this role after the program nearly shut down. The whole situation feels mismanaged, from hiring a dive assistant coach in January to announcing the program’s closure in February, only to reverse course later.
Marshall Swim & Dive Coach Ian Walsh has resigned his position after eight seasons with the Herd.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.

Reflecting on the year that was for Marshall athletics, shame football, men’s basketball & men’s soccer (although to a lesser extent) stumbled down the stretch. Year was buoyed by women’s basketball & softball. Glad 🏊♀️ was saved, but the entire situation was an unforced error.
Coastal Carolina’s free food program helped drive nearly 70% student attendance at each home football game last fall 🌭
The 2025 opener also generated the largest attendance in Brooks Stadium history, while a viral video explaining the program reached 2B impressions.
