Bottom line is that I think fixed drop zones for all ranks would cull the bad players who base their entire RP gain on dropping safe and abuse that many dies at hot drops when a shared ship is used

@IcebergSlim808 @oraxe_ @Wachiko I agree but most of them are ALGS level players though, which are a minority but with most influence. The skill difference between a high ranking pred and the average d3 player, who share lobbies, is like a bronze vs plat. Preds are smurfing in pred lobbies

@oraxe_ @Wachiko Dropship was never a problem in high elo, like D3+. At that level, most players are somewhat equal in terms of skills and tryhardness.

It is a huge problem in bronze-to-platinum since it allows bad players to farm free RPs by just dropping safe w 10 squads left after 2 minute

@ApexLiveComms So many times you get in a premade duo who says "drop safe and play placement" in, e.g in plat4 and then you get in one fight and both of them are literally deleted with 0 dmg dealt. Those players have no buisness in plat lobbies but the dropship allows them to keep advacing

@ApexLiveComms Player retention is apperently more important than competative integrity to Respawn. By adding dropship, u wanna fool "bad" low-to-mid ranked players to think they are good, only because they can gain RPs by dropping safe as the rest of the lobby kill each other off in round 1.

@ApexLiveComms I dont doubt that the old drop ship increases the no. of players who play ranked but its for the wrong reasons. It only allows bad players to feel good from climbing the ranks by just dropping safe. But do we really want platinum lobbies filled w players w silver fighting skill?
