@okiefarmer1 Thanks to the Leeper family for taking part in the day. Kate and Kayla gave 4 NASA directors/scientists their first ever experience in an operating piece of farm equipment!
@zrendel@ksufearless@PrecisionPlant I have the same issue with sorghum. Using wave vision planted some very small sorghum seed a couple years ago and it detected 60%. Large seed is fine. Works best in low dust conditions and driving slow to see accuracy. Reset alarm points. Sorghum is on the edge of detection.
@jessicawilcoxOK Thanks for sharing this. I actually haven’t seen some of these pictures. I relive that day often. A lot changed for my family that day. It doesn’t seem like it has been almost 11 years.
@HTAgronomy I’m very sorry to hear that. I know it’s difficult. We will pray for you and your family. I imagine my dad feeding cows in heaven. Funny that was his favorite thing to do.
@OSU_NPK I had a similar theory I was starting on at KSU. Idea being managing vegetative growth in water limited environments. More root growth and less biomass to sustain in the spring.
@BWelch34 Sure. Let me know what you are interested in. Your coworker has all my contact info. If you can’t get it, message me and I’ll get everything to you.
@OSU_NPK@RickBieber81@okiefarmer1 This is interesting to think through. This year, I have noticed cow pox in my N rich strips (150 lb N). High soil P. I haven’t made sense of it unless there is something unique happening this year. Granted the differences were subtle.
@TrentLanie I am seeing the same west of you. Yellow wheat. Some diseases and some perfectly fine (same variety, 1 day difference in planting). I’m seeing some cow pox but can’t see my N rich strips (120 lb actual N). Definitely an interesting year. More yellow wheat than there should be.
