THEORY: From the looks of it, considering we're in October and next month is GTA 6;

-Dark Deception Enhanced is poised to drop early & late 2027 (Ch1&2) whereas

-Chapter 5 COULD end up dropping in 2028 (Early-Mid)

East Asian games are breaking records again, hitting nearly 400k players and climbing all within just 4 hours since the game's global release on a MONDAY. It is still #1 in the Steam top sellers, and they are reporting high activity within the game's in-game content shop.

The MMO has reportedly cost the studio 75 million dollars to develop, plus marketing costs. During the game's original release back in November 2025 in Korea and Taiwan, they reported that the studio recovered the cost in the first 46 days since release, meaning the game has already turned a profit, especially now that it is at the top of the sales charts.

Unlike Throne and Liberty, which was a pay to win PvP focused guild vs guild game, Aion 2 is more focused on PvE, dungeons, and raids.

We'll see how long this lasts, as I'm still getting a lot of that "Lost Ark" vibe in terms of predatory monetization.
