If you can't identify anything in my post that was false then why did you make a post attacking me rather than attacking my post?
Oh wait, I think I just answered my own question.
I didn't say any of your premises were false. That's the joke. You built a whole syllogism to establish a largely definitional fact and seem to think the existence of an if/therefore chain makes it philosophically substantive. An argument can be valid, sound, and still tell us almost nothing.
That's not what I said, you misrepresented my claim.
My claim was, "there is no example in all of human history of a human being gestating a non-human being".
@Lgoody61@BertaBound13@jacuzzi_toaster If we are lucky they will turn the surface of the planet to glass with giant lasers to put humanity out of it's own misery.
"Personhood requires capacity for conscious human experience"
On the contrary, corporations have legal personhood, rivers and lakes have legal personhood.
All of them lack capacity for conscious human experience, yet they still have legal personhood.
@MartinEqualsMe Personhood requires capacity for conscious human experience. Being living human organism is necessary for human personhood, but not sufficient.
@sightONsound If you cannot identify anything in my post that was false then why did you make a post about me rather than about my post?
Oh wait, I think I just answered my own question.
I have never taken an ethics course.
But I have read a lot books on ethics, morals, philosophy, metaphysics, logic, epistemology, ontology and phenomenology.
If you think any part of my post was false then state which part and why you think it's false.
That is if you can.
@M1ckM1k3y This is a good point.
But I suppose it's kinda cute that they at least tried, cute like a toddler pretending to be a Doctor with a doll.
They aren't going to heal it, but they can at least pretend to.
