Murphy's Law states, "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." Entropy is sort of like Murphy's Law applied to the entire universe. Overall, the entropy of the universe always increases. ๐คฏ

@mad_shead@SadikDewan1 It is a step in the right direction. However straws are such a tiny part of it. It even allow the companies to reduce cost and "look good". Mcdonalds replaced their plastic straws last summer, the new paper straws were not recyclable. #yikes#phys273#appearances
@AndriaDiMichel1 Which is caused by humans!๐
"The current rate of extinction of species is estimated at 100 to 1,000 times higher than natural background rates"
Human activities might be the reason for the next mass extinction of planet earth. But it can be reversed! #phys273#lesson11
@Physaubs273 When it comes to nuclear the first thing we hear is about the nuclear bombs, the major and minor incidents and all the bad consequences associated with radiation. It's not surprising it has such a bad reputation.
Good to know it's actually a great source of energy!

@IMogher On the long term every single human (almost 8 billion) is vulnerable to climate change impacts. Hopefully we will be able change that or at least substantially slow down/ reduce impacts.

@Moe_elassaad @Alexios3K Here's a few numbers to get a perspective.
"...flying from London to New York and back generates about 986kg of CO2 per passenger. There are 56 countries where the average person emits less carbon dioxide in a whole year"๐ #phys273
There's even more. The Exosphere which is the outmost layer of the atmosphere (higher than thermosphere) and the less known ionosphere.
"...the ionosphere is an electrified layer of the upper atmosphere, generated by extreme ultraviolet radiation from the Sun. #phys273
FUN FACT: "For easy detection, we add a harmless chemical called mercaptan to give gas a distinctive odor. Most people describe the smell as rotten eggs or hydrogen sulfide like odor. It smells bad for a good reason - in case of a gas leak"
