On https://t.co/i7bHjQI6iS I've predicted Ladi & Monique to win ๐ฅ because she has great trust in her father, and he is very wise. Together they seem unflappable in the way they both embrace the fun of solving logistical puzzles. #raceacrosstheworld
I love the BBC programme Race Across the World and this series I'm playing along! My mate Paul has made a tiny website for people to predict the outcome. All just for fun. (It's fantacie futball league but for travel geeks)

Very happy to have been asked to do another lightning talk at PHP SW on Wednesday! My talk will be "The Art of Good Tests" where I will explain that there are no rules, only guiding principles. https://t.co/pp4VQnfGbU #php#bristol#devlife
@beardedjourno This exact point of the Frome is called Myln's Culvert. There's a big grill down there protecting the point where the water levels drops. Hence a convenient place for EA to collect debris.
Anyone in my network know Andrew Doyle of Bristol? I found his wallet in the underground river tunnels. Would be cool to let him know where it ended up.
I am currently trying to return some lost wallets that I found. I enjoy the puzzle of returning lost items. The search to find them and then the challenge of making contact in a private world. Remember when a big book of everyones phone number was delivered for free?! Crazy.
5 years ago I returned a wallet that I found in the street. It turned out the owner worked on the floor below me. We became friends, I introduced her to another friend, they fell in love and made a baby and I am the godfather.
@equiniti@AskEquiniti There's no issue to investigate and I wouldn't even know how to include a message with a follow. I'm just trying to get Andy to see this. He might like to know where his Nando's loyalty card ended up.

Updating my CV. What to do with oldish technologies? I don't want people to think I've never used JQuery, but I also don't want to come across as being enthusiastic about it in 2022! I can maintain it but I'm not going to implement it.
@stuherbert I agree that the team and the cause are more important than the tech. But when all the job specs are requiring experience in either React JS, Angular JS or Vue JS my gut instinct is that I don't want internal recruiters eyes landing on JQuery too early. Ya know what I mean?
Dear Developer,
Right now, someone you've never met, working at a company you've not yet heard of is writing and deploying a buggy block of code that โ in 5 years time โ you will be fixing.

Made this video to show the strange results that I stumbled across on GIPHY https://t.co/dftRwlG37B Now I'm interested in how to debug/understand deep learning results. Hoping a fellow geek at @GIPHY might be willing to give me some insight?
@nicprice@BBCNews Or whatever broadcast software they are dragging and dropping these files into should have the safe-zone guides on-screen like every half-decent video editing suite I've ever used.
