“Six million people were killed in concentration camps during the Second World War, as well as millions of others because they were Polish, disabled, gay, or belonged to another ethnic group.”
Jews. The word you’re looking for is ‘Jews’, not ‘people’. This truly beggars belief.
This dire reporting is not only factually incorrect but erases Jews from a genocide in which six million Jewish men, women and children were slaughtered specifically because they were Jews.
How is it possible, therefore, that on Holocaust Memorial Day of all days, @GMB manages to acknowledge several other groups but not Jews?
To make matters worse, there is no reference to Jewish people at all for over two minutes into this segment, and when there finally is one, it is only done once and in regard to former history students taking a tour of the Jewish quarter of Kraków.
Additionally, there is bafflingly no utterance of the word “antisemitism” whatsoever.
If this is intended to pay respect to the victims of Holocaust Memorial Day, it has failed abysmally and ignores the true nature of this horrific event.
How on earth was this allowed to happen, @ITV? We demand an explanation.
What is one piece of advice you would give someone wanting to start or scale up their business?

They are living each day as if time was suspended on October 7th, and live in ambiguous grief, desperate for news, and now travelling the world and speaking to whoever will listen to them to spread awareness about the hostages’ plight, as many remain unaware that 134 people still remain kidnapped in Gaza.
Not all are believed to be alive, and time is running out for those who are.
Hostage negations are ongoing in Doha right now. If ever there was a time to make your voice heard and demand their release, it’s now.
I hope beyond hope Eliya will get to put that ring on Ziv’s finger, and Ron will get to walk Gil down the aisle.

There are many scenes and photographs from today that gave me great satisfaction. I was perhaps most struck by this scene though as I passed the window of a pub on the way home.
This is a country that is world famous for tolerance and decency. It is a country in which it should be normal to show pride in being Jewish.
Today’s #MarchAgainstAntisemitism sent a much-needed message to our Jewish community that Britain stands shoulder to shoulder with us. We also made clear to the authorities and our politicians that we expect them to act against hate before it’s too late.
Above all else, we reminded this country of what it is, and what it always should be. There is so much work to do, and that work continues tomorrow, but tonight let’s bask in the solidarity that we all felt today.
We are one United Kingdom, united against antisemitism.
The March Against Antisemitism was emotional, bonding, well-attended and shambolic. No one had any idea where we were going or who was speaking. It was indicative, as ever, of how Jews really don’t run the world.
