UG At #WorldofCoffee2026

We are now in Brussels for the World of Coffee 2026. At this annual event in Europe, a “Portrait Country” is selected by @SpecialtyCoffee to showcase their producers, culture and contribution to the coffee value chain. 2026 is Uganda’s turn as the coffee origin to be celebrated. What does this mean?

First, Ugandan producers and traders will be making a powerful presence at our booth. We of @RugyeyoFarmLtd coffee are going to put our best cup forward to serve long espressos for which our fine robustas are best suited.

Secondly there will be an official launch of the Uganda Coffee brand which has been developed with the assistance of @ITCnews .

Hon. @DesireMuhooza, Minister of State, @MAAIF_Uganda will lead a delegation of @GovUganda officials to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony on Thursday .

There will be daily cupping sessions for Ugandan coffees. These will bring out the unique flavors of different Ugandan beans. These qualities are what international buyers look for. It is the most effective marketing technique for coffee producers.

For us, the coffee business people this is where we meet prospective buyers and close contracts. This is indeed why we are here. More tomorrow

I worked with @SueNsibirwa btn 2011-2019 as her supervisor when she headed our marketing function. Not once was she ever apprehended as a suspect in or charged with a criminal offense. In fact, she left two years before me with her record of high integrity & stellar performance. I am certain that her current employer would have done a due diligence before entrusting her with her present role. If what is being said about her now were true it would have come out long ago from more credible sources.
