(2/2) I wrote it back in 2018, while finding my footing as a writer after a nearly ten-year hiatus.
Writing the first draft didn't take long. Cutting it down to fit into the limit was another story entirely.
Enjoy!

(1/2) Throwback Thursday
Those who know me will tell you that brevity isn't exactly my strongest suit. Which is why writing a story in exactly 100 words felt like a particularly cruel challenge.
Today's post features The First Contact—the first drabble I ever published.
(1/2) #ThrowbackThursday
The idea for "Have You Ever Not Seen The Rain?" came to me during an autumn visit to my grandparents in Moravia, sparked by one unsettling thought:
What if it never stopped raining?
(2/2) The story never got written.
What do you think they were discussing?

(1/2) Friday prompt - A Human, an Alien, and a Robot Walk Into a Bar
Years ago, I saw a cartoon of a human, an alien, and a robot sitting around a table.
My first thought: what if they weren't chatting about sports, but deciding the future of humanity?
(1/2) Friday Prompt – Fancy a Game? ♟️
Chess is what I play when I need a break from writing but still want to keep my brain working.
This week’s prompt asks:
What happens when an alien attends a university chess event and asks to learn the game?
(1/2) Throwback Thursday: Close Encounters of the Zoom Kind
Written during the 2021 COVID wave—when everything (including my library work) moved online. Empty halls, silent rooms, conversations through a screen…
Inspiration from that viral lawyer-with-a-cat-filter Zoom video.
(1/2) Friday Prompt: Between a Rock and a Hard Place
I usually write speculative fiction/horror, but this one drifted into noir crime territory—completely unplanned.
Sat down, wrote the first scene, improvised everything… and still felt the urge to add a speculative twist a few
I read a lot of sci-fi—but not just for fun.
It’s professional curiosity: trends, themes, and the craft itself—structure, vocabulary, technique.
Right now: Walkaway by Cory Doctorow. Thought-provoking, slightly unsettling.

Throwback Thursday – Worth Every Penny
The first story I ever wrote in English. After years away from writing, this 2017 experiment became my crash course in short-story publishing.
Published in Theme of Absence (March 2018).

Friday Prompt — Six Times I Tried to Kill My Grandfather
A time-travel story inspired by the Grandfather Paradox. The idea: six encounters between the narrator and his grandfather, each revealing more about why he keeps trying.
Full prompt on my FB/ Instagram. Thoughts welcome.
Two stories published this month (one sci-fi, one psychological horror).
Progress on A Farewell to Zebbigia: Vol. 2 continues, and By the Skin of Their Teeth inches toward completion.

(2/2) Now he’s an independent logistics contractor (legally)… and occasionally a smuggler (less legally).
Not a hero. Not a villain. Morally adjacent.
Questions about Ray’s universe? Let’s talk.
