@eric_nelligan This is awful shame that you see this as a negative . And also the frustration of it . I can see you have given it thought and you don’t draw the conclusion lightly. But my thoughts would be the protection of the language and what the damage that would do to its preservation .
@eric_nelligan Failed … no . I would admit the failure lies in the lack of Ubiquity. The usefulness of the language after school is the problem … but .. the beauty of it was its revival due to dedication . Maybe you just need to appreciate it as one of the defining points of being Irish.
@abrahamson_ed I don’t know why you are whining. They are about to loose the disadvantage of playing away from home. Not bad for a country that according to the UN has committed and is still committing heinous crimes . Also involved in a war with Iran but too busy focussed on a football match!
@Globalstats11 False. Ireland was invaded several times . Several conquests . First to be considered was Strongbow Norman invasion . Allowed Henry the second to take control . After that several such as the Tudor conquer , Cromwell and the plantation’s particularly of Ulster and the Williamites
@iClark_G No I disagree . I remember he had v2 collected . I think he would have prepared for this . The begging. There would have been more desperation and more of a fight to the end .
