Love the Cricket! England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Notts 🏹 Timsbury CC & Sawley CC

[Liam Before Wicket @LiamBWicket]

The loneliness of club cricketers during the winter:

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@WG_RumblePants They show the hundred on both Sky and terrestrial.

Same with some Championship football.

Why not?

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@CricketTragic5 Well that is absolutely crap. No congratulations here then.

Same with a lot of sides in the Derbyshire league even with them having more strict rules than other leagues.

Pathetic.

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@CricketNor8304 @astleybridgecc1 @LittleLeverCC I’d be absolutely steaming if I was the oppo. Looking forward to a day of cricket and this is what you get.

Give the game to the away team and dock them a load of points.

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@CricketTragic5 If this is YOUR CLUB and they’re at this level then I think it’s ok.

If he’s moved here from elsewhere (which I know happens at this club a lot) and dropped down standards then this is pathetic.

All dependent on circumstances around it.

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@CricketTragic5 I normally would be the first to moan about this. We’ve had instances where players have dropped to division Z in their 3s or 4s and smoked some kids and old men around for 150-200.

This is a first team at what is a decent standard of cricket imo.

We’re excited to launch Project Elevate - our ambition to raise £350,000 for a new pavilion at Sawley Cricket Club.

Together, let’s Elevate Sawley

@TheBarmyArmy @NHoultCricket Lucky him. Better off chilling than playing in that rubbish.

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

Beautiful day for it as @TimsburyCC travel to @HanhamCC

Nowhere to hide in the shade. Glad we’re batting first!

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

Century! 💯

The result might not have gone our way yesterday but 3 wickets took me to 100 wickets for @TimsburyCC

Since joining 4 1/2 seasons ago I've been made to feel so welcome and feel like I've been there forever!

Here's to many more to get some wins on the board!

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@TimsburyCC Busy busy week!

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

Seems like we have been playing with the quality of an international side on a Saturday after all…

#englandcricket

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@LiamWinstanley3 Could not agree more.

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

@TimsburyCC v @bathcricket at a sunny rec!

View from the scorebox as always - beautiful day for it! ☀️

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

Well the result sucked tonight! 😐

But 3 more wickets to the total. I do love playing home games.

4-1-16-3

96 for @TimsburyCC

4 more. My next game would be the perfect time to get there. Bath (H)

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

Losing by 1 wicket today was not a fun experience 😩

🔵 Shit pitch
⚪️ Not enough runs
🔵 Blatant caught behind and run outs not given
⚪️ 9 wickets taken
🔵 Nearly an actual fight - gloves and helmet thrown off
⚪️ Runs scored with 1 ball to spare

Ugh.

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

The view from my usual first innings spot…

The scorebox!

(There was nearly a dropped catch in this photo 😂)

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

Back at home on the Rec today for @TimsburyCC 1s against @HanhamCC

Only play Hanham once before for the 2s first game of the season 3 years ago.

It’s going to be tough today but wouldn’t complain about a repeat of this…😁

92 down, 8 to go…

[Martin R @MartinRCricket]

Solid start to the season. Pulled it back from a tough start. Points on the boards.

1 wicket but wish it could have been more. 92 for @TimsburyCC - Road to 100 goes again next week!

@ClaverhamCC is a top place to play cricket.

Staff game on Wednesday should be a right laugh😂

[Timsbury CC @TimsburyCC]

🗞️ RESULTS 🗞️

As the season started Saturday, so did the rain, unfortunately meaning none of the 3 matches could be completed 🌧️

We move onto next week ➡️
