I prompt in English 99% of the time. If I prompt in Norwegian, I find that the reasoning trace is in English anyway, and even though the LLMs are really good at translating, there's still some google translateisms sneaking in, like American sayings and expressions translated word by word that doesn't make sense in the target language. I don't want little translation errors like that sneaking into my work. Not sure if it's really a problem but I don't trust it.
@AdarshWritess Everyone agreed. Except Microsoft, who loves to be incompatible. Remember all the hoops we had to jump through to make websites work with internet explorer.
@icanvardar If I could read a 1000 line source file and understand all of it and look up all the outside references in .3 seconds I wouldn’t bother either.
using it during development sounds like a really solid tool. That way you can just change the script at any time to make tweaks and stuff, you don’t have to test with subtitles only until recording day comes. Then you can judge if doing real VA is worth it or not, if you end up throwing out the ai voices it will have been valuable either way.
It’s a deadlocked situation where gamers don’t use mac because there aren’t many games designed to run well on them, or run at all, and developers don’t make Mac games because there aren’t a lot of players so it isn’t worth the investment. AI might change this though, the cost of making your stuff run well on Mac is almost nothing now.
@Taniyatweets_ I’m perfectly happy with 16 tbh. Depends on what you’re building ofc but I’m making a game and using blender without issues. I would go for 32 if I bought one today though, but it’ll hold for a year or two more.
@pradeepXkapoor If i had the new top model ready to go, i would release it. I wouldn’t sit on it and wait for some release date. And if it’s not ready, announcing a date is risky since there’s a high risk you’ll run into unforeseen problems. It’s done when it’s done.
