@catholicpat Both are true, but the bleeding is in much greater numbers than the positives. Need a whole of Church approach of excellence to turn it around.
@HWallingford85@holysmoke My experience is that neither priests nor deacons are adequately vetted for the leadership roles they have. Overall the deacons are at least as able as the priests.

We have perhaps 2% of Catholics in their 20’s in church, the Mass is not evangelising as it should be. Parishioners of all ages are no longer attending. This is the main reform to turn things around.
@BabatundeOnabaj@holysmoke That’s not actually true. The percentage of Catholics in the population is reducing everywhere in the world. The married priests of the local culture will be far more effective than importing priests of another culture and whose first language is not English.
