The US Government signed this agreement and then seemingly changed their mind.

@BeanerCarr @WorldCup26HQ He probably thought that like all previous world cups all appointed officials are given clearance to enter the host nation to do their job. It’s part of the deal the US agreed to when it “won” the bidding process to host the tournament
