@autismtalknd@martinimarie gigs need to be more neuridivergent friendly. my son loves gigs , struggles in crowds due to dyspraxia / asf/ld etc so we go early for barrier to lean on. rude, drunk people insist on pushing him, leaning over him , waving arms over him for attention. 🌻lanyard ignored.. rude !
This is spot on from @ShaunLintern. I would go further: we need a no holds barred analysis about why so often science and evidence is seen as an anathema to good maternity care. Health innovation has too often left women behind. It's time to put maternity care first in the queue to benefit from the NHS tech transformation. Data can help ensure poor care has nowhere to hide.
- Good Afternoon, do you happen to have a copy of 'Baiting the Disabled Community on a Daily Basis' by H W Hately?
- You do! Thank you. Yes, it's H W Hately.
The row over Tom Bennett’s NI school behavior review isn't just an ideological debate. It’s the final stage of education marketisation.Step 1:Standardize with Kirschner scripts.Step 2:Enforce compliance via Bennett rules.Step 3:Outsource the gut-stripped system to private capital
The focus on “not listening to women” & “understaffing” does not account for why horrifically cruel comments like this are said to new mothers.
We hope @ValerieAmos is going to address this contempt for women in her report about #OxfordUniversityHospitals. #Maternity
Childhood trauma isn’t something you just get over as you grow up.Repeated stress of abuse, neglect and parents struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues has real, tangible effects on the development of the brain.
The UK Statistics Authority has challenged a Conservative welfare claim after intervention from Full Fact, saying the figures presented risked misleading the public.
This is exactly why context matters. Welfare spending isn't just disability benefits – more than half goes on the State Pension. If we're going to debate public spending, it should be based on accurate information rather than soundbites that can stigmatise disabled people.
The same standards should apply to everyone, regardless of political party.

Hi @JonBurrowsMLA would you like to meet a child who was once labelled as the chair throwing kid?
I can assure you, the chair throwing kids have stories to tell as well, just because they don't have voting rights, doesn't mean they dont have any rights...

https://t.co/nqR3vdyShG Leon Osbourne worked as a teacher at a therapeutic special school in Essex for children with social, emotional and mh difficulties.
A panel at the Teaching Regulation Agency heard his actions included calling a colleague "hot stuff" and grabbing her bottom.
His conduct "demonstrated a disregard for the boundaries, judgment and self-restraint which the public is entitled to expect from a teacher," the panel said, concluding he was guilty of unacceptable professional conduct.
The panel heard how members of staff felt uncomfortable, unsafe, and in some cases unable to speak out because they were new, or thought Osbourne held an important role at the school.
He had also been accused of questioning a woman about oral sex and attempting to kiss her.

Dr Bohin who gave evidence against #LucyLetby.
#Guernsey families alleged Dr Bohin made referrals to social services when parents complained about her judgement, her blocking referrals and her failing to listen to them.
