OP Stack is a standard for building Layer 2s, I don't think people get that yet:
- it doesn't require OP or ZK, it supports any dispute resolution function with various finality times for withdrawals.
- it doesn't require ETH DA, it supports any way to derive your L2 from.
- it doesn't require EVM, it supports any VM for the dispute resolution.
- it gives you interop and stage 2 decentralization by default if you opt in the SuperChain construct
- MIT licensed, just roll with it
this is good stuff, novel, not widely understood -- kudos to @Optimism
To everyone building a community:
Itโs hard & you cannot control everything.
But itโs the most rewarding thing you can do.
Youโre the orchestrator of genuine & lasting human connections.
Youโre the architect of a space that people will call their tribe.
Keep that in mind ๐ค
With the events from the past week, It's become clear that being able to read a block explorer is an important skill to have. Doing so will allow you to understand what's happening on-chain without needing to trust anyone else.
Here's a simple guide on how to read Etherscan ๐งต:
The Optimism Collective is an ambitious mission to solve human coordination problems that crypto has thus far been unable to.
Ambitious missions demand equally ambitious infrastructure.
Today we're introducing the OP Stack: the technical compliment to the Optimistic Vision.๐ด๐ฅ
"There are roughly 27m software developers in the world. Only about 18k of them, or 0.07%, work on crypto or web3 every month.
Those 18,000 active engineers have created $2 trillion in market cap across the top 100 projects - $112m of value per person." โ@ttunguz
