Just got back from @armonia_bolivia ´s #LaneyRickmanReserve with loads of beautiful footage of #BluethroatedMacaw. Note the ring on the adult, this shows that the bird also fledged from one of our #nestbox.

Yesterday’s #mondaymistery belongs several Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks (Dendrocygna autumnalis). These birds form monogamous couples and may mate for life. Females lay eggs in each other’s nests and the eggs are incubated by both sexes. The ducklings are tended by both parents

El monitoreo de cajas nido no es para cualquiera. Equipo Armonía atravesando sabana inundada y chequeando cajas nido en Esperancita. En 2018 5 pollitos de Paraba Barba Azul volaron de las cajas. Desde 2005 en total 76 pollitos se sumaron a una población que es de 300 individuos.
