With essentially a one-year McDavid window, the Oilers hiring a guy who hasn't coached an NHL game in 7 years and got fired from his last job before even stepping behind the bench would legitimately be one of the most insane management decisions of all time

When people ask what depression looks like, it’s not always what we see in movies or hear on television. It can take so many forms. Despite the love that the hockey world had for Lemieux, it wasn’t enough. It’s a shame he wasn’t able to get the help he needed. We still have a long way to go to end the stigma, especially for men.

Darren John Dutchyshen (December 19, 1966 – May 15, 2024) was a Canadian sportscaster who spent seven years in Edmonton, hosting Sports Night on ITV, where I watched him first. On September 9, 2021, he announced that he had prostate cancer, and detailed it in full a year later in his first show back at SportsCentre.
Darren Dutchyshen died on May 15, 2024, at the age of 57 and is missed by all, and remembered here today. 💔
