@practicalgolf 1st hole always has to be one for the driver to come out on, everyone from the clubhouse needs to see the big drive.
Make the 18th the hole to remember the course by.
So many 18ths are boring straight par 4s back to the clubhouse with not a lot of features.

@DorsetGolfGuy I’ve never understood the age thing. I think juniors should be cheap as hell to get them in, another price up 16 to 18 then full cost after. But with different amounts for different levels of membership required. full membership being unlimited rounds like normal etc.

@DorsetGolfGuy Think it would be nice if clubs offered a few different levels of membership to suit people’s budgets.
Maybe a limit of how many round per year or off peak times only. Just a thought.
I know this wouldn’t suit every club.
