@bbc5live Can't wait for Rishi to level up the tax system with Self Employed. Put all Public Sector staff on 40 hours a week with no holiday pay or sick pay or overtime premiums & stop paying HUGE ER Pensions as means to avoid ER & EE NIC & then that would level things up a bit!
@bbc5live Should the Royals be hauled over the coals for running to the hills and their second homes risking rural health services by not obeying the STAY AT HOME message?
Others have been admonished for this behaviour!
@bbc5live#DontBiteTheHandThatFeedsYou#WeAreNotInThisTogether Public Sector TAX AVOIDANCE: Pay huge ER Pensions, avoids paying salary & avoids EE & ER NIC contributions. Be like the self-employed and pay your fair share - Rishi go get those tax avoiders in your own midst!
@bbc5live A simple way to come up with a solution - stop paying MPs, civil servants & other public servants a salary, and I am sure a solution would be found fairly #WeAreNotInThisTogether
#bbcqt Did the queen, phil, charlie & camilla follow the STAY AT HOME rules as I think they are staying in rural communities in second homes. Or is it okay for royals to break the rules, but not okay for commoners?
#bbcqt TAX AVOIDANCE by Public Sector (PS)! PS to stop making HUGE ER pension contributions & pay this as wages & ER NIC & BOOM tax receipts would increase! PLUS this would also even up the tax system between public sector and the self employed! Go Rishi!
#bbcqt The self employed, are in a way public servants as many often undertake the administration of collecting and handing over VAT which overall represents 18% of tax revenues, can we get some of the public sector pension benefits for doing this?
#bbcqt Please remind Rishi that unlike politicians, civil servants and other public servants the self employed do not receive HUGE pensions, better holiday entitlements than the private sector and various other benefits. Please remember not to Bite the hand that feeds you!!
@bbcquestiontime Could MPs show real solidarity & show we are all in this together as Boris and Rishi keep saying by foregoing their salary and expenses till June?
Should self employed be exempt from council tax for the 12 weeks lockdown? And then base their support on top as a suitable % to live on subject to a cap? This would overcome the issue of variable income and not all having 3 years tax returns.
Boris says we are all going to have to make sacrifices, what sacrifices are UK politicians making? Perhaps they could sacrifice their salary to the levels offered to the self employed! #Coronavirus
