@a_thomas1958@nailseaschool Some good names & 'characters' in that squad. Andy Spring , who broke into my old local primary school on Glenfrome Road & was in the Merchants Arms every night. I can vouch for that !
@a_thomas1958@Gloscricket@NorthantsCCC Inexperienced ! That's one word to describe . GVB (who top scored) said after "it was a bit spicy & uneven bounce but perfectly playable"
@a_thomas1958@Gloscricket My favourite ever batsman. I liked Stov & Sadiq but the disappointment of one of those getting out soon diminished when Zed strode to crease. Hardly a stroke played, all timing & be in 30's or 40's before you knew it . Privileged to had watched him . Lovely bloke too .
@a_thomas1958@Official_BRFC Seemed quite assured , but neither keeper really tested . Time wasting is so prevalent now. Satisfying when it doesn't pay off .
@a_thomas1958@Official_BRFC@crewealexfc Niggly , time wasting ( even before they scored) , constant fouling & 'dark arts' , always moaning & complaining to officials. Got what deserved.
@a_thomas1958 Loved the Speedway on a Friday night .The smell. Great crowds too. I used to race around Eastville park on my chopper (not a euthanism) pretending to be Phil Crump, Vaclav Verner or Michael Lee . Again, courtesy of Dad, able to get access to pits & get autographs (not selfies) !
@a_thomas1958 And full of tiny stones & shingles . Played on it & it was treacherous . Bumpy , uneven and slope . That's my excuse for poor first touch ๐
