@BobTheRatReborn I wouldn’t say republican coded but definitely spineless and deserving of every bit of corporate greed that we all unfortunately have to experience together.
I’m so glad there’s been this re-evaluation of The Amazing Spider-man duology.
These movies were full of weird ideas but I can’t help but enjoy the grounded feel mixed with the classic comic book campiness, the stunning visuals, and the performances.
@Realhead47 It’s not necessarily coming up with the characters but rather building the dynamic. Ned and MJ are very shallow characters with hints of depth but their dynamic is undoubtedly one of the most beloved parts of the series. Watts established that and built that up.
@Literally_DD Except this isn’t the same at all because Brand New Day directly builds upon the previous trilogy.
You can hop into TSS with no knowledge of the first movie and still enjoy it in full. You’d be missing a lot from BND if you haven’t seen the previous films.
It’s 2026; we’re not gonna keep doing the whole “Sam Wilson isn’t Captain America” thing anymore.
Steve gave Sam the shield at the end of Endgame 7 YEARS AGO!
Steve isn’t Captain America anymore; Sam is. Deal with it!
@DakotaBoen I understand you, 100%
I left my other fanpage because the community was too toxic but policing what makes a fan and silencing out debate is also a form of toxicity.
Discourse is part of these communities and it’s what makes it so fun. Combat toxicity with positive discussion.
@DakotaBoen People are allowed to have preferences and debate those preferences.
People shouldn’t take it so seriously or personally to the point of arguing but having preferences or even disliking one or the other doesn’t make anyone less of a fan.
