@cdp_rx@80s_retro56968 No, certain publisher's want to squeeze every penny out, so if they can release a game without the meager mass production cost of a disk they will. Gotta need that 0,02 extra profit per sale
@BlimbyB39211@80s_retro56968 Only with select publishers, plenty of games can still be installed and played of their blue ray's. Some (few) developers go out of their way to release multi-disk physical copies of their large games to allow accessibility even if your console is never online.
@okiechristopher@TaroTheCerelean What makes you think the whole gaming industry would crumble? Because 1 developers game would flop
GTA5 released in 2013
RDR2 in 2018
Gaming is going to be just fine even if the entirety of Take 2 would disappear tomorrow
@Jedi_Five5@jtuck151 You wanna know something fun, every delisted game that's no longer in stores can still be played if you have a physical version
It's also the only way you can still get them, if you find someone willing to sell
If anyone upgraded their PS5 to a PS5Pro just for 1 game that has never even remotely looked like it was going to meet deadlines then you deserve every bit of "pain" you experience from this.
Use your brain for crying out loud
Imagine selling your base PS5 to buy a PS5 Pro…
Only for GTA 6 to finally drop, and then a few months later Sony starts talking about PS6.
That level of pain would be historic.
Imagine upgrading twice just for one game 😬
@DrwnedAbyss@TNCarly_ Saying "difficult" is fair for Dark Souls, because it is. Word policing that happens around it is silly to me, but I get it.
A lot of games can be overstimulating, depending on the person. Bioshock has a lot happening where DS is fairly straightforward considering everything
@DrwnedAbyss@TNCarly_ So, how much Dark Souls have you played? Because it's difficult and takes some adjustments, but once you're in the flow it's really not that bad
@thedavidcample@TheGameVerse Twitter is the wrong place to ask because fanboys will just rally for their side. Before giving advice, is there anything else you'd like from your console?
@_Deez_Games Some Devs think a review is easy marketing, but it isn't. If you don't want negative reviews, instead of giving codes to reviewers, they should give them to QA's who can test it for them and report issues before publishing the game to a wide audience
Not saying it won't happen, with the restructure, sadly, it's possible. But at the moment every decent outlet says "Rumoured" and a rumour is just that, a rumour.
Hopefully this turns out to be false, because again, it doesn't make a lot of sense
I see a lot of folk saying that it doesn't make sense closing a studio like Ninja Theory a week after revealing a new game, and indeed, it doesn't
So maybe wait until a confirmation before spinning into a fit. No industry insider has confirmed this, only news outlets, that's sus
@danno_omen Hmm, if reception wasn't great it could be a reason to close it (a shit one) but the lack of industry people confirming this and only media outlets talking about it is a little suspicious
