Happenings here have soured my taste in using Twitter lately. I might move more permanently to #instagram, give me a follow! @MarvinDamstra. I'll at least do another #Inktober before deciding!

The first prompt was "dream".

#inktober day 31, "Fire". An extremely big, sudden and pressurized fire is another way to describe a Supernova. Around 1000 years ago a nearby star did just that, the remnants are visible today in the form of the crab nebula.

#inktober day 30, "Rush". I think we've pretty much seen how deep the inktober rabbit hole went this past month, one more day and we're done!

#inktober day 29, "Massive". The greatest adventures might still lie ahead of us.

“You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” - J.R.R. Tolkien

#inktober day 28, "Sparkle". The first spots of light in the night sky are usually not stars, but actually planets. On the clearest and most fortunate of nights, you can make out their largest moons as well, just barely!

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day28 #inktober2023sparkle

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#Inktober day 27, "Beast". I can't believe it's been almost 2.5 years since these two had their third fight in #aotfinalseason. I'm not entirely up to date on the series, but with a release soon I'm currently catching up.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day27 #inktober2023beast

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 26, "Remove". I didn't expect a transparency layer to be there! Oh, and kind of poetically... I had to remove a page because I accidentally skipped one today.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day26 #inktober2023remove

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 25, "Dangerous". Black holes aren't inherently dangerous, but getting close to one would eat up the most precious thing in the universe. Our time in it.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day25 #inktober2023dangerous

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 24, "Shallow". Water remains quite the challenge to draw. Also totally forgot the symmetry challenge for this one... I'm just going to own it by saying it looks like clouds if you flip it over.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day24 #inktober2023shallow

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 23, "Celestial". The milky way is barely visible from where I live, especially not with the naked eye. I appreciate the moments when I do get the opportunity.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day23 #inktober2023celestial

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 22, "Scratchy". While the rest of the rings are only about 10 meters thick, the outer edge of Saturn's B-ring has massive structures reaching up to 2.5km in height. The shadows are like Scratches on a record.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day22 #inktober2023scratchy

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 21, "Chains". I couldn't think of anything today, so I only just finished up this chain link! Maybe I'll have more inspiration tomorrow.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day21 #inktober2023chains

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 20, "Frost". Another set of objects, just like yesterday. Got inspired by some art from #Genshinlmpact for this one!

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day20 #inktober2023frost

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 19, "Plump". Could have gone in a few directions for this prompt, but the pun was the winner in the end. Some plums for plump.
We're almost at the last 10 prompts already, the days are really flying by!

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day19 #inktober2023plump

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 18, "Saddle". When working with leather, a hand-sewn Saddle stitch is a lot more durable and sturdy than a machine stitch.

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day18 #inktober2023saddle

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 17, "Demon". "The King in Yellow" induces madness in those who read it. The supernatural entity behind the play is not a traditional demon, but inspiring nonetheless. Pretty decent symmetry if I say so myself!

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day17 #inktober2023demon

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 16, "Angel". A bit of a simpler drawing today... Neon Genesis Evangelion never really captured me as a series, but the design of the angels sure was unconventional and striking!

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day16 #inktober2023angel

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 15, "Dagger". I spotted this one recently at a friend's place and thought it was beautifully symmetrical! Pretty happy with the drawing!

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day15 #inktober2023dagger

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 14, "Castle". Castles, fortresses, strongholds, keeps, citadels, donjons. I settled on drawing the old city of Naarden. Funny enough I've never actually been there myself...

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day14 #inktober2023castle

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 13, "Rise". Sometimes you're a night owl and you gotta get up in the morning, sometimes REALLY early in the morning...

#inktober2023 #inktober2023day13 #inktober2023rise

[Marvin Damstra @MarvinDamstra]

#inktober day 12! Spicey. I drew like 7 different chili's before settling on this design.
