If Ukraine had already lost, Russian flags would be flying over Kyiv. Putin wouldn’t still be demanding Ukrainian-controlled territory in Donbas that his army has failed to conquer after more than a decade. His Black Sea Fleet would still have its flagship, the Moskva, instead of having it at the bottom of the sea.
Russia has made no decisive battlefield breakthrough. Its territorial gains have come at an enormous human cost, while Russian missiles and drones continue terrorizing Ukrainian civilians.
If we’re talking about Russia’s ability to kill innocent civilians, destroy homes, and terrorize children, then yes, Alice, Russia has demonstrated that ability. But it has failed to break the Ukrainian spirit.

And speaking of losing, Alice, you’ve lost something far more personal: your dignity. Your willingness to echo Putin’s narrative, just like Orbán, speaks volumes.
Ukraine hasn’t surrendered. Ukrainians haven’t surrendered. And Putin is still fighting a war he thought he’d win in three days.
