Our physiotherapy patient Ken was diagnosed with cancer last year and was told that he would never walk again.

However with the help of our Rehabilitation & Enablement Lead, Mary Banks, he defied all odds by walking again!

Ken continues to help others worried about walking.

@KitzingerCelia @AdvancingPhysio ... increased secretions on chest & eventually a undignified decline then death. Traumatic for person, parents & staff, not helped by experts not communicating directly with team, only through solicitors.

Need a clear pathway and education/open talks re this complex subject.

@KitzingerCelia @AdvancingPhysio Long story to explain but overall experience- complicated, confusing and distressing. Aimed to withdraw nutrition to stop daily distress for person & parents. Experts insisted meds weaned to ensure not sedated & assess true conscious level which caused pain, seizures, fear... 1/2
