My time as a Member of Scottish Parliament now comes to a close. Thanks to all who have supported me in these ten years, especially my staff. Best wishes to all comrades standing tomorrow. Never let a day go by without fighting for equality, social justice and socialism.
@SP_subleg met for the 173rd and final time in Session 5 today. It's great that Members were still able to raise a smile @billabowman@GilMPaterson @MBallantyneMSP @MaryFeeMSP @JoeFitzSNP
I can’t thank everyone enough for their kind words today. It’s great to see the UNCRC Bill pass and with my amendments included. Many thanks to @together_sacr and all the other wonderful organisations for their support.
It was a fitting way to end my time as MSP with the debate.
I am making my final speeches in the Scottish Parliament today on the UNCRC Bill. It has been a real honour to represent West Scotland and Labour for 10 years.
It is also an honour to make my final contribution in this debate on human rights.
I have been made aware of sectarian graffiti in areas of Renfrew and I have been speaking with the council over the last few days. They have been working hard to remove this. If Renfrew residents find more, please report to the council or call my office on 01418894828.
My final meeting of the CPG on the Scottish Gypsy/Traveller Community takes place this afternoon. It’s been an honour to convene this CPG and I hope that someone can carry on the work to support the Gypsy/Traveller community after the election.
Happy International Women's Day!
Today I want to recognise again the hard work, dedication and selflessness of all the women who have been working on the frontlines of Scotland's fight against COVID-19.
From everyone at Scottish Labour - thank you.

On #IWD2021 I want to thank all the women in the Scottish Parliament - MSPs, MSP staff and parliament staff - for the support and guidance provided to me in my nearly 10 years as West Scotland MSP.
I have been alerted to this photo of vandalism at the play area in Robertson Park, Renfrew. This is simply abhorrent behaviour and those responsible must be caught.
I am contacting Renfrewshire Council for an update on proposed CCTV for the park.
Congratulations to @AnasSarwar on becoming Scottish Labour leader. This is a historic moment in our politics and movement with Anas becoming the first BAME leader of a political party in the UK.
Thanks to @MonicaLennon7 for a spirited campaign. We had two fantastic candidates.
It is the greatest honour of my life to be elected leader of @ScottishLabour.
I will be a leader that focuses on what unites us as a country - not what divides us.
💛 Together, we're building a fairer, more equal country.
🌍 Scotland is leading the world in tackling period poverty - providing free sanitary products to all those who need them.

I have seen the value of a residential experience and outdoor learning for young people which is why I fully support “A Vision for Young People 2021-2031” https://t.co/FzqlDOn2s2 @saveyouroutdoo1@ScoutsScotland
At the Equalities and Human Rights Committee today I was delighted to pass 8 of my amendments. It was also crucial to have @agcolehamilton's amendment on the implementation passed. Thanks to @EHRCScotland@FamiliesOutside@together_sacr and others for their support.
Thanks to @LGBTIScotland and all signatories for the letter on Trans rights. I am a proud ally and I will always stand with LGBT community.
"We stand for LGBT equality alongside equality for all other groups - there is no real equality unless it is equality for all."
Today, Scottish Labour is fighting for a budget that:
•Invests in jobs and businesses.
•Invests in training and apprenticeships.
•Remobilises our NHS.
•Delivers better pay and conditions for health and social care workers.
