Aren’t Yaqub Chaudhary and Jonnie Penn really talking about the "A-ttention Economy + AI".. which grabs signal from people’s attention to infer intent. It’s not comparable to Doc Searl's book, The Intention Economy, where my Intention is about my autonomy and choice, (1/2)

@troutgirl Taxes go down, yes. But insurance doesn't because that is based upon risk and what they are insuring. If the cost of building new is the same, then yes.. it stays the same.

Last night a “brave” person cut down a crab apple tree planted to provide street shade in our changing climate. My neighbor and I splinted it. I’ve done this to bones many times but trees are a first. Anyone have advice?

@tommy5dollar @JohnnyPastramiD @svpino In the US you cannot get a GP.. they often move, all patients are dropped and the new ones you call aren't accepting new patients. If you finagle your way in, it's often a 4-6 month wait for an appointment. Just got a GP a month ago, my appt is in Nov. I'd LOVE a 1 month wait.

@jowyang My first computer was a Commodore 64 a B&W (green) monitor. Then an m0001 apple (i think that was the number.. still have the canvas zipper box with all the parts!) Yes.. it's crazy how much it's changed and how fast. Now we play with GAI every day.. It's not very good but still.

@troutgirl I’ve got tomatoes but they’re green. But 7 of 10 plants do you have them. Corn halfway to full height. So another month for that. Full size peppers on the tomatillos, anaheims, jalapeños, pablanos. It’s all microclimates. And getting things started and greenhouse then outside.

@jcohenwrites 2. "in the vast majority of residential neighborhoods, single-family homes have been the only legal option." Not true. In Seattle, +2 has existed since 1994. +3 since 2018. Stop repeating this myth. Variances exist all over town for duplexes & triplexes in res areas from before.
